After a busy transition year, the Global Seaweed Coalition is proud to invite our growing community to our second Annual Meeting, to be held 5 October 2023 at the Maison de l’Océan in Paris.
This Annual Meeting is an opportunity to look back together at our substantial achievements from our first two years in operation, to present our roadmap for the coming years, and to feature member achievements. We invite all our members to join us in person or virtually. Registration for virtual attendance will give you access to the livestream of our Annual Meeting.
If you are interested in making a brief intervention, or sharing a video that we can play during the meeting, please let us know by September 15th via email to the Global Seaweed Coalition secretariat at secretariat@globalseaweedcoalition.org.
In keeping with our member-driven approach, we want to hear from you in advance of the Annual Meeting. To that end, we will shortly be sending a link to a survey (please find the link here). Please respond with as much detail as possible.
Our annual meetings take place in the context of major events for the seaweed sector. After the UN Ocean Conference last year in Lisbon, we are very proud to announce that this second annual meeting will kick off the first European Algae Awareness Summit in Paris. We are organising this Summit jointly with the European Commission and the French government, with the support of the Oceanographic Institute and the Prince Albert I of Monaco Foundation. Please stay tuned to our website and those of our partners for updates on this Summit. You can find the full program here.
If you plan to attend any portion the EU Algae Awareness Summit, whether virtually or in person, please use this link and check the box that indicates you are a Global Seaweed Coalition member. This is the only way you will be able to access the Summit and obtain your badge to enter the venue. Please ensure that you receive confirmation of your registration.
We look forward to seeing you all at our Annual Meeting, and possibly also at the EU Algae Summit!
